Lusaka Conference Publishing Ministries is a mission-focused ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church committed to using print and digital media to communicate the everlasting Gospel, nurture faith, and connect people with Jesus Christ.

We believe that publishing is more than the production, promotion, sale, or distribution of books and magazines. It is a missionary movement through which the written word carries biblical truth, hope, health, character development, and practical guidance into homes, communities, institutions, and places that may not easily be reached through conventional ministry.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is rooted in the conviction that literature is a powerful instrument of personal evangelism, discipleship, and Christian nurture. Through carefully selected and Christ-centred literature, we seek to make biblical truth clear, relevant, accessible, and applicable to everyday life.

We believe that every publication placed in someone's hands can become a seed of truth and hope. For this reason, our ministry seeks not merely to distribute literature, but to connect literature with people, people with the Word of God, and people with Jesus Christ.

Literature Evangelism is therefore understood as personal ministry. Literature Evangelists engage people directly, build relationships, pray with individuals, provide Bible studies, invite people to church, and introduce them to resources that address their spiritual, physical, social, family, and educational needs.

What We Do

Lusaka Conference Publishing Ministries coordinates, promotes, and strengthens the literature ministry across the Conference. Our work includes:

  • Literature Evangelism — recruiting, training, equipping, mentoring, and supporting regular and student Literature Evangelists to serve as missionaries through literature.
  • Church Member Involvement — mobilising every church member to participate in sharing, selling, recommending, and distributing Christ-centred literature.
  • Missionary Book Distribution — promoting initiatives such as the Missionary Book of the Year, World Impact Day, magazine campaigns, and other literature distribution programmes.
  • Spirit of Prophecy Ministry — encouraging the acquisition, reading, sharing, and practical application of Spirit of Prophecy resources.
  • Church and Home Libraries — establishing and strengthening Adventist libraries in churches, institutions, and homes to cultivate a culture of reading and spiritual growth.
  • Publishing Leadership Development — training and equipping local church Publishing Ministries leaders, councils, and coordinators for effective ministry.
  • Student Literature Evangelism — creating opportunities for young people to gain missionary, spiritual, leadership, communication, and practical work experience through literature evangelism.
  • Digital and Online Publishing — embracing technology, digital platforms, social media, and emerging communication channels to extend the reach of the written Gospel.
  • Integrated Mission — working closely with Personal Ministries, Voice of Prophecy, Small Groups, Communication, Youth, Education, Health, and other ministries so that literature becomes part of a coordinated discipleship and evangelism strategy.

These functions reflect the wider Seventh-day Adventist understanding of Publishing Ministries as a ministry of evangelism and nurture, involving both Literature Evangelists and the active participation of church members.

Our Mission

To proclaim the everlasting Gospel of hope through media, empowering every member to participate in mission, nurturing faith, and preparing people for the soon return of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

A growing and mission-oriented Publishing Ministry in which every congregation, every member, every Literature Evangelist, and every home becomes a channel through which Christ-centred literature reaches people with truth, hope, healing, and transformation.

Our Ministry Commitment

We are committed to planting seeds through literature, nurturing relationships, making disciples, and preparing people for Christ's return.

Our goal is therefore not measured only by the number of books sold or distributed, but also by the lives reached, relationships formed, Bible studies generated, faith strengthened, churches engaged, Literature Evangelists developed, and people brought closer to Jesus.
