WELCOME TO THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

The office of the President plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and supervision to its affiliated departments and ministries, ensuring alignment with the conference’s overarching mission. Actively fostering the development of ministry resources, the Presidency contributes to the collective success of the entire conference, emphasizing strategic planning resources for sustained growth.

The Conference President serves as chief officer among other elected officers and departmental directors who is also chairperson of Executive Committee. He is dedicated to offering essential administrative guidance to the network of churches within the Conference. By providing comprehensive support and guidance, the President fosters cohesion and shared purpose in the Conference, enriching the spiritual tapestry of the Districts and churches.


Pastor Francis Chibiya (Current)
Pastor Francis Chibiya is the current Lusaka Conference President who was appointed during the Third Session on 2 December, 2024.


PREVIOUS CONFERENCE PRESIDENTS


Late Dr. Edwin Shimunzhila (2013 - July 2020).

Dr. Edwin Shimunzhila was the first Lusaka Conference President. He was appointed as Conference President at the realignment Session (Central Zambia and Lusaka Conferences) held on 4th December, 2012 at Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. During the Second Session held at Government Complex in December 2015, he was re-elected in the same capacity. In January 2019 at the realignment Session (Lusaka and Woodlands Conferences), Dr. Shimunzhila was elected as president a position he held until retirement in July 2020.

Pastor Goliath Naini (July 2020 - December 2021)

Shortly after the retirement of late Dr. Edwin Shimunzhila, Pastor Goliath Naini who was serving as Executive Secretary was appointed as Conference President a position he held until Lusaka Conference Second Session in December 2021 held at Golden Peacock in Lusaka.

Pastor Keith Chuumpu (2022 - 2024)

During the Second Session in December 2021, Pastor Keith Chuumpu was appointed Conference President until December 2024.
